Hola! I’m Mariana. I was born and raised in Argentina and have over twenty years of experience in the hospitality industry. For the past decade, I’ve been living in New Zealand with my family, working in cafés and sharing my love of food with the local community.
In 2020, I started Mariana’s Kitchen as a small food truck, bringing authentic Argentinian flavours to local markets and festivals like Newtown Fair and CubaDupa. In 2021, we expanded to a kiosk at the Petone Foreshore Playground, offering more of our menu, including fresh empanadas, choripanes, sandwiches, alfajores, and barista-made coffee. After a few years, we closed the kiosk in 2025 to focus all our energy on our next step: our eatery in Lower Hutt, which opened in early 2024 near the War Memorial Library.
Today, our eatery is family and kid-friendly, perfect for breakfast, lunch, coffee, or casual catch-ups. We also provide catering services in Lower Hutt for events, meetings, and special occasions. My goal is to share traditional Argentinian flavours, made fresh using family recipes, and bring a little piece of Argentina to Wellington.
